OTT HDR 1200 is a satellite transmitter controlled via the Global Positioning System (GPS). It allows the set-up of measuring sites with data transfer through the satellites METEOSAT and GOES. The publically operating providers, EUMETSAT and NOAA, offer their data service with favorable conditions to registered and approved users.
Acting as a transmission module, the OTT HDR 1200 runs the transmission commands of a connected OTT datalogger and thus acts as the interface to the satellite. The automatic synchronization of frequency and internal clock via GPS signals guarantees stable transmission frequencies and times.
